Many people have found great satisfaction by making gifts in memory of a friend, loved one or aiding the fight against cancer by contributing towards Cancer research.

Our own family witnessed at first hand the devastating effects that Cancer can have on a loved one.

We as a family and in memory and honor of Nikolaos Stamatelatos are raising as much funds as possible to put towards the “Greek Children’s Fund” associated with the world renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital.

This Fund, which helps the day-to-day needs of Greek-American and Greek national patients and their families undergoing cancer treatment was established in 1983. This charity organizes events benefiting the fund. Past events have included a concert featuring popular Greek entertainers that raised about $1 million and a telethon that raises $400,000 annually.

The Greek Children's Fund provides assistance to more than 400 families a year.

To this end, members of Nikolaos’ family will be participating in a charity run called, “The Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research”, on Saturday, October 16th 2004 at 9:30 a.m. located in Central Park, Manhattan.

Your help and support would be much appreciated and all monies raised are being contributed directly to the Greek Children’s Fund/Memorial Sloan - Kettering Hospital research unit with no administrative overhead.

You may send a check, money order or bank draft payable to “The Greek Children’s Fund”, and mail it to our post office box.
